Our Smokefree School Workers deliver awareness assemblies and groupwork sessions to young people, professionals and parents in schools around smoking and vaping.
You will be working as part of an amazing team at With You, and supporting Change, Grow, Live to deliver the young people's element of the exciting new service - Lancashire Smoke Free.
Please note:
This role is for term-time only and the salary will be pro-rated
We have 2 vacancies available, one covering Central and North Lancashire and one covering Central and East Lancashire.
A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle is required for this role
REQUIRED SKILLS
To be able to do this job successfully, you will have:
- a confident and engaging presenter able to communicate information to large groups of young people
- experience of working with Young People and/or a qualification in substance misuse, mental health, psychology, nursing or youth work
- the ability to work effectively on your own and as part of a team, sharing your skills knowledge and experience
- good organisational skills to be able to manage your time effectively, prioritising your work and being able to cope with the pressure of competing demands
- effective IT skills, able to use different packages and digital media
This role is subject to a satisfactory enhanced level DBS and barred lists check.

Our Smoking Cessation 1:1 Support Workers offer vital support to help Young People in schools and in the community stop smoking or vaping. The work can be challenging but it's always rewarding and you will be making a real difference to people's lives.

We have 2 vacancies available, one covering Central and North Lancashire and one covering Central and East Lancashire.
As a Smoking Cessation 1:1 Worker, you'll be managing a caseload of young people who want support with smoking or vaping habits.. You'll work with them to access their needs, develop care plans, deliver a variety of treatments and/or refer them to other specialist support when needed.
You'll also be proactively engaging with young people to provide them with the support and, guidance they need to better understand the implications of the situations they may face and the decisions they may take.
REQUIRED SKILLS
To be able to do this job successfully, you will have:
- excellent relationship building skills with a range of people from a wide variety of backgrounds
- experience and/or a qualification in substance misuse, mental health, psychology, nursing or youth work
- the ability to work effectively on your own and as part of a team, sharing your skills knowledge and experience
- good organisational skills to be able to manage your time effectively, prioritising your work and being able to cope with the pressure of competing demands
- excellent written and oral communication skills, including engaging delivery of presentations
- the ability to record and maintain accurate case details and in a timely manner
- effective IT skills, able to use different packages and digital media
