Get your blood pressure checked
Please note: due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak, blood pressure checks in the community by partners have been temporarily stopped. An update will follow when these tests will continue.
There are many places as well as your general practice where you can get your blood pressure checked.
Partners across Lancashire and South Cumbria are being supported by the British Heart Foundation to work together to deliver blood pressure tests in our communities, pharmacies, leisure centres and with community trusts which work alongside professional football clubs.
You can get your blood pressure checked through your GP or alternatively approach your local pharmacy for advice. There are also certain community pharmacies who offer additional opportunities to have your blood pressure checked through either the British Heart Foundation Blood Pressure Programme and / or the NHS Health Checks Programme.
Football club community trusts provide a range of initiatives that supports the needs of their own communities, ranging from physical activity, health and wellbeing, education, and employment.
