Information for observing the Strategic Commissioning Committee - 9 June
Date posted: 6th June 2022The Strategic Commissioning Committee (SCC) has a primary role to focus on delivery and decision making for the Lancashire and South Cumbria population with the authority to make decisions at a Lancashire and South Cumbria level. This committee replaces the Joint Committee of CCGs meeting which has been held since 2017.
The purpose of the Committee is to bring together the leadership of the eight Lancashire and South Cumbria Clinical Commissioning Groups (CCGs) together with ICS strategic commissioning leaders who have collectively committed to improve and transform health and care services across the area, delivering the highest quality of care possible within the resources available.
The committee is held in public and chaired independently by David Flory CBE, Independent Chair for Lancashire and South Cumbria Integrated Care System.
Members of the public can request to observe the SCC on 9 June by emailing us by 12pm on 8 June and providing their name. They will be provided with a link to join the meeting and some important information about joining the meeting. Regarding public questions concerning specific agenda items, we ask for these to be submitted by email prior to the meeting. We may need to defer any questions should the focus of the meeting need to be re-prioritised at short notice as a result of the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic.
