Healthier Lancashire and South Cumbria is the partnership of organisations working together to improve outcomes and care for local people, reduce pressures on services and make best use of our financial resources.
Prior to the committee meeting, Healthier Lancashire and South Cumbria staff will be available to answer questions about the work of the partnership and to provide information about how organisations are working together to involve local people and health and care staff in improving care for local people.
The Joint Committee of Clinical Commissioning Groups is a meeting of the eight Clinical Commissioning Groups (CCGs) in Lancashire and South Cumbria and will be responsible for making decisions about any future proposals referred to it by the CCGs. Decisions will be referred if they require a Lancashire and South Cumbria approach, but most decisions about healthcare will continue to be taken locally.
The Joint Committee of Clinical Commissioning Groups consists of GPs and lay members from each of the Clinical Commissioning Groups in Lancashire and South Cumbria. Chief Executives from Lancashire County Council, Blackburn with Darwen Council, Blackpool Council, representatives from district Councils and local Healthwatch are not members of the Committee but attend the meetings.
Following the meeting there will be an opportunity for questions from the public to the Committee.
If members of the public would like to attend, they are asked to contact Healthier Lancashire and South Cumbria on 01253 951630 or by emailing healthier.lsc@nhs.net and provide details of any specific requirements they might have. Please let us know about your plans as it enables us to organise drinks and seating arrangements at the venue.
